Dr. Daphne Brown
Chiropractor
owner

My focus is on musculo-skeletal health. My goal is to relieve pain, maintain your health and optimize your performance, so you can participate fully in your activities of daily living, your sports and your career. I am an evidence based, pain management chiropractor who is current in the latest medical research.

Dr. Daphne Brown is an evidence based Chiropractor that treats musculoskeletal conditions. She is part of the BC Problem Based Research Network group that is involved in spinal pain research.

She has a Bachelors of Physical Education from UBC (1992) and her Doctor of Chiropractic from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon (1996).

Within her family practice she has a special interest in sports medicine.

Dr. Brown has been living and practicing in Salmon Arm since 1996 where she has enjoyed a healthy lifestyle with her husband and 3 daughters.

 

Sports Focus

Dr. Daphne Brown enjoys both competitive and recreational sport including triathlon, marathons, skiing, rowing and hiking. She loves to spend time with her family and friends as well as knit and read. She is active in the Larch Hills Nordic ski club as well as SARP ( Shuswap association for rowing and paddling) where she started the rowing club.

Dr. Jourdyne Mason is an evidence-based chiropractor. Her objective is to treat musculoskeletal conditions and educate patients so that they can reach their goals. Her care is patient centered and includes treatment protocols from the latest chiropractic research. Dr. Mason also provides a safe space and inclusive environment for all people of colour and LGBTQIA2S+. 

Dr. Mason grew up in the Okanagan and the Kootenays and is excited to call the Shuswap her new home. She loves to be outdoors and surrounded by nature. Outside of the clinic you can find her snowboarding in the winter and cycling and hiking in the summer. She grew up dancing, as well as playing basketball and fast pitch. During the summer of 2017 she biked across Canada from Vancouver, BC, to St. John’s, NL. During her ride she also gave presentations to youth across Canada about the importance of living active and healthy lifestyles as well as bike safety. 

Dr. Mason has a Bachelors of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary and graduated magna cum laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in June 2020.

Dr Jake Deeble
Chiropractor

Dr. Deeble has a passion for helping others achieve a functional health. His goal is to educate his patients and empower them to take control of their health. He is an evidence based chiropractor that is educated in the most recent research supporting conservative care. He uses techniques such as joint manipulation, mobilization, myofascial scraping and a variety of soft tissue approaches to help you get back to feeling yourself and doing the things you love.

Dr. Deeble grew up on Vancouver Island and enjoyed all that Island life had to offer, from fishing, hiking, hunting, snowboarding and playing every sport he could fit into his schedule. He was a provincial champion in lacrosse and loved playing hockey. Today you can still find him at the arena playing hockey in the winter and on the mountain bike trails in the summer.

He moved to Lethbridge, Alberta, to attend university where he got his degree in geomatics engineering before switching gears to begin his journey towards chiropractic. He attend the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, where he grated with honours with a degree in human biology and a Doctorate of Chiropractic.

Since joining the team at Active Chiropractic, Dr. Deeble has fallen in love with the Shuswap and loves spending time with his wife and kids in the Salmon Arm area.

 
Not only is he very personable, he was able to loosen up some muscles in my neck and lower back and give me mobility that massage and muscle relaxers hadn’t!
I had some work done by Dr. Deeble before he moved to Salmon Arm and it was a great experience.

 
 
Dr. Brown has been tremendous in helping me with my migraines. I see her every couple of weeks and I’ve been able to keep them at bay. She is great at fitting me in when either myself or my daughter need an appointment.

My shoulder has been an issue for such a long time and since seeing Dr. Brown I have been able to use it without as much pain. It is improving daily. She has the time to spend with me every visit.

Fees are often covered by insurance plans including MSP, WCB, ICBC, RCMP, DVA and extended benefits.

Same day appointments are often available.

I saw Dr. Brown for the recovery process relating to a back injury. She was extremely accommodating, and super helpful with the physical pain. She was also able to give me plenty of information to calm my nerves about having a work-related injury. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking chiropractic care.
