Dr. Daphne Brown completed her Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and Exercise Science at UBC in 1992 and then attended the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon to earn her Doctorate of Chiropractic in 1996. Since that time she has focused much of her continuing education on sports injuries, rehabilitation and nutrition.
Dr. Brown moved to Salmon Arm with her husband in 1996 and started a Chiropractic clinic later that year (Shuswap Chiropractic Clinic). After her third child was born, she decided to step back from ownership of the clinic but continued to operate her practice out of the clinic space. In January 2014 she formed Active Chiropractic in a new office space with the goal of building a multidisciplinary clinic to serve her patients.
Daphne is also a competitive athlete. Her love for running, swimming, biking and nordic skiing has led her to compete in numerous events such as half marathons, marathons, long distance swims, triathlons and half iron mans and x-country ski loppets . She was a varsity rower at university and started the rowing club in Salmon Arm. She also loves to knit, read, hike, ski, and spend time with her family.
